Sacarrappa Road Culvert Replacement


  • Project Name: Sacarrappa Road Culvert Replacement
  • Project Description: The work includes but is not limited to: 
    • removal of the existing field stone structure, circa 1800, and replacement with a precast concrete box culvert
    • Construction of cast-in-place concrete retaining walls with masonry formliner
    • full-depth reconstruction of Sacarrappa Road in the vicinity of the bridge crossing (approx. 400 feet)
    • installation of new guiderail and bridge rail
  • Project Goals: Restore timely, convenient access to Sutton Avenue by way of a soundly engineered, durable and long-lasting structure that suits all purposes given the uniqueness of the project site - i.e. dam, bridge, and culvert.
  • Location: Sacarrappa Road approx. 1,700 ft north of Sutton Avenue
